Community Integrated Employment

At Howard Prep, we believe meaningful employment is more than a job. It is a pathway to independence, inclusion, and personal growth. Our Community Integrated Employment (CIE) Services team supports adults with developmental disabilities through every step of their workforce journey, helping them become confident, contributing employees.

We provide individualized, hands on support from the very beginning. This includes identifying career goals, building resumes, practicing mock interviews, and securing job placements. Once employed, participants receive one on one job coaching during work hours to support a smooth transition and long term success. We also work closely with business owners and managers to build a supportive, collaborative environment that benefits both the employee and the employer.

Howard Prep has helped participants secure positions in supermarkets, restaurants, retail stores, and many other businesses across the county. This success proves that with the right support, everyone can thrive in the workplace. For companies, our program offers a meaningful opportunity to become true community champions. Businesses can hire a participant directly or offer a risk free internship, with Howard Prep serving as the employer of record. In either case, employers help individuals gain real world experience, build confidence, and develop a sense of belonging.
